Fun in the animal kingdom

The Doll's House Museum will be presenting a real gem: a mechanical Steiff showpiece originally produced in 1928 and at the time comprising of 47 Steiff animals. Some of the figures were fitted with special mechanical devices to enable them to move. The showpiece measured 5 meters long, 2 meters wide and 2 meters high. The animals tumbled around in a building complex, which was built in a modern style for those days, inspired by the "Bauhaus" style. The moving animals enchanted both adults as well as children.
