The «Mignonnette» pocket all-bisque articulated doll, complete with a matching extensive trousseau and wardrobe, is the forerunner of all pocket dolls. The story of her success began in 1878 in Paris and lasted almost 40 years. It was closely linked to the success of the French magazine for girls «La Poupée Modèle». Subsequently, the «Mignonnette» was mainly produced in Germany, but disappeared completely from the market in 1917.

The collection—from the «Musée de la Poupée, Paris»— mainly consists of all-bisque articulated dolls from France and Germany («La Poupée Modèle» and Simon & Halbig). Other miniature dolls, e.g. «Lilliputiens» and dolls’ house dolls etc. are also shown. The lovingly displayed exhibits are complete with matching trousseaux. Live demonstrations showing how to handcraft miniature dolls and clothes will take place on specific dates.
