2005年 10月 23日 - 2006年 10月 17日

The original amber room, presented in 1716 to Czar Peter I by King Friedrich Wilhelm I and installed in the winter palace in St. Petersburg, had a varied and legendary history. Moved to Kaliningrad (Königsberg) in 1941, it disappeared without trace towards the end of the war in 1945 and remains unfound. Reconstruction started in Russia in 1979 and since the end of May 2003 it has been on display in the Catherine’s Palace in St. Petersburg.
